Dirty Rice Passive Overdrive Control
This  pre-wired overdrive control replaces the existing tone control in any electric guitar with high output pickups . Use it to dial in a smooth "crunch" to your signal.  The pot determines the amount of drive. Very "tweedish"! Designed to only be used  with high output humbuckers or very high output single coils (at least 10k ohms DC resistance). The higher the output of the pickup(s), the more pronounced the effect. Easy two wire hookup and no battery required!  Please note, Dirty Rice is not a distortion unit,  but a controlled overdrive. Kind of like an old Tweed amp...cranked. Tone Descriptions:
The tones in the dropdown menus are listed in the order of amount of cut, from least to most.

Woman Tone- Least amount of cut. Very close to one of Clapton's famous Cream-era tones, the "Woman Tone".
As you  cut back on the tone when playing in overdrive it gives your guitar a nice sweet "growl" and makes your lower notes more prone to feedback.
Works equally well with single coils or humbuckers.
Standard Tone- Value used in most current humbucker equipped guitars, and many single coil guitars. A great "all around" standard value.
Special Tone- Provides a little more cut than Standard Tone offering a warm jazzy tone. Use for bass guitars when you find that your stock  tone control muddies up the pickups too much!
Dark Tone- Deep and bassy. Great for single coils and other bright pickups. This value used in most Fender® guitars from the 60's up.
Also suitable for bass guitars.
Bass Tone- Deep cut. Good bass guitar value.
Dark Bass Tone- Most amount of cut. Good for bass guitars, although used in most Fender® guitars from the 50's!
